Ron Schroeder, MA
In Ron’s counseling approach with you as a client, he begins with the strengths that you already have or are trying to develop. Ron will establish a partnership with you to safely explore all the possibilities and help you build the road to mental (and physical) wellness within the realistic and practical limits that life places before us.
Ron’s theoretical orientation to counseling is grounded in person-centered, existential, cognitive-behavioral, wholistic, and strength-based methods.
Prior to his work as a counselor, Ron worked for the Nebraska Legislature as a staffer in six state senators’ offices for 32 years. He is a lifetime resident of Lancaster County. He graduated from Lincoln East High School in 1976 and received his bachelor’s degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Political Science in 1980.
In his free time, Ron enjoys exploring local bicycle trails, hiking trails, attending local concerts and other artistic events, dining at local restaurants and coffee shops, spending time with family and friends, and reading.
